The scrip records for the Métis are held in the national archives of Canada. As part of these records there are scrip application forms, declarations, affidavits and registries which provide considerable information on family histories. In some provinces microfilm copies of this material is available, or at minimum, provincial offices will assist individuals in obtaining this information. The National Archives of Canada has on-line internet access to these records.
